Seminar Hours & What To Bring:

The seminar will run from 10am until 4:30pm on both days with 90 minutes for lunch.  The doors will open at 9:40am on Saturday for sign-in. On Sunday the doors will open at 10am and we’ll get started as soon as everyone is changed and ready.

Please bring: a bokken, if possible with a saya. A saya can be made quite easily from a golf tube which should be available at any sports store.

Please DO NOT bring: metal blades, live weapons of any sort, alcohol, recreational drugs (even if they’re inside you!) or recording devices.

Recording of any kind, even taking pictures, is strictly prohibited during the seminar.

Entrance To The Seminar Location:

The entrance to the seminar location is on Landsdowne St. close to the north end of the building. The recreation centre is attached to a school but the school entrances will be locked. You shouldn’t have trouble finding the entrance.

Getting There / Parking:

The seminar location doesn’t have a parking lot and street parking can be difficult to find at times (sometimes it’s easy, sometimes it’s not). If at all possible, your best bet is to take public transportation. The easiest way is to make your way to Queen St. then take the street car (trolley) to Lansdowne. From there, it’s a short walk north and the seminar location will be on the right side.

If you really must drive, there is free street parking near the seminar but it can be difficult to find at times. There is also paid parking available on Seaforth Ave and West Lodge Ave. (See map).

Food:

There are some small restaurants within about 10 minutes walking distance along Queen St. Alternatively, feel free to bring your lunch and eat it in the gym.
